The Bileća Lake holds a lot. Covering a surface of more than 30 square kilometers, it holds a lot of water. It holds a lot of secrets too. There are a few villages hidden under the surface of the lake, left there in the 1970s when the whole area was flooded for dam construction. The lake holds a special place in the hearts of the locals, being a favorite seaside substitute for the landlocked Republic of Srpska.
